Rights - Any discussion about human rights (slavery, oppression) or animal rights (cruelty, abuse) must first address our Creator's rights. He has the right to command how we treat both His people and His animals.

Responsibilities - Jesus said the root cause of suffering in this world is a distorted view of and/or the rejection of the true WAY of our Creator. (John 8:1-59)

Mistakes - Man's self-serving, misguided, mischaracterizations of God have historically led to personal and cultural conflict, corruption, and collapse.

Hope - Discovering the WHO?, the WHY?, and the "WAY"? of origins is the foundation for true transformation.

"Then I looked again
at all the acts of oppression
which were being done
under the sun.
And behold I saw
the tears
of the oppressed
and that they had
no one to comfort them;
and on the side of their
oppressors was power,
but they had
no one to comfort them."

(More resources are linked after this initial description)

The following webpage is an excellent overview and description of the NEUROBIOLOGICAL DISORDER called Asperger's Syndrome ( It is NOT a "psychological" disorder. It is a physical disability that a person is born with. Therefore, the symptoms and struggle are NOT the FAULT of the person with Asperger's Syndrome.

I often remind my students (and adults at seminars) that EVERYONE is a package of ABILITIES and DISABILITIES. Some disabilities are more visible than others, and some make life more difficult than others, but we all have them. Some disabilities are due to developmental problems as a baby forms in its mother's womb, yet others are the result of an "accident" or disease.

However, a significant percentage of our disabilities are due to genetic mutations (errors), many of which are passed on from generation to generation. In fact, numerous scientists, including Dr. John Sanford (inventor of the Gene Gun at Cornell) have demonstrated that every population of creatures is accumulating increasingly more destructive (deleterious) mutations each successive generation. No, the cool and fun science fiction movies like "X-Men", where mutations give people amazing "abilities", is not and never will be reality. Mutations over time cause disorders and disabilities. They destroy genetic information which destroys structures or functions, and eventually over generations lead to extinction. (See Dr. Sanford's book, GENETIC ENTROPY for more on this.)

This process called "mutation meltdown" began when humans chose selfish sin and caused separation from our Creator who held all things in order, harmonious function and relationships. This resulted in increasing disorder, dysfunction, dis-ease, and death. The good news, however, is that our Creator has always provided His Way for reconciliation with Him, and the promise of eternal life in His "New Creation" after death. (See the Gospel - Good News

Even better news is that now in this life, anyone, regardless of disabilities can be reconciled with their Creator and have His love flowing through them to others. THAT is the greatest ability a person can have, especially when it shines through whatever disabilities he or she might have.

Biblical & Christian Counseling Resources
and resources that while not fully biblical,
do contain some helpful information

Asperger Syndrome: Meeting the Challenges with Hope,
Michael R. Emlet, MDiv, MD, practiced as a family physician for over ten years before becoming a counselor and faculty member at the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF). He is the author of the book Cross Talk: Where Life & Scripture Meet, the mini-books Asperger Syndrome; Chronic Pain; Angry Children: Understanding and Helping Your Child Regain Control; and Help for the Caregiver: Facing the Challenges with Understanding and Strength, and many counseling articles.

Asperger Syndrome Book DESCRIPTION: "Someone you love has been diagnosed with the neurological disorder Asperger Syndrome. You are already experiencing the social struggles, communication difficulties, and other challenges, but you are also looking for hope. Does the Bible speak to this struggle? In CCEFs Asperger Syndrome: Meeting the Challenges with Hope, Michael R. Emlet combines his experience as a physician and a biblical counselor to explain Asperger Syndrome and highlight the unique place each person, including those with AS, have in God's family. He gives biblical, practical advice on how to deal with the spiritual challenges of AS and encourages with the truth that each person has inherent dignity and worth. New Growth Press minibooks are frequently used by pastors and ministry leaders to help others apply biblical wisdom to specific life issues. Churches, biblical counseling ministries, and missional organizations make the minibooks available in their acrylic display cases to further discipleship and gospel-centered living."

Narcissism or Aspie? by AACC
While I don't agree with a lot of information presented by AACC, this particular article is a very good discussion about the mislabeling of patterns as narcissism, when they are really the manifestation of neurologically based, social perception disabilities.
